Tailwagger NY Inc. is a two-member professional family pet care service. It has offered a unique socialized country boarding experience for the friendly New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island) and vicinity urban dogs since 1997. In their Catskills, upstate New York facility, Ildiko and Laszlo, strive to provide the ultimate companionship to pre-screened family dogs, giving them lots of activities, while their owners are away.

		At their Catskills retreat, just a few hours from New York City, dogs directly experience country life. They become dogs again, spending large part of the day outside. Well-trained dogs are taken for hikes and swims on the 160 acres property. The too young and independent minded, the old and the less well-trained stay within the securely fenced wooded and open play areas. These fields range between 1/2-2 acres. They also include straw-filled playhouses in case of inclement weather or a quick daytime nap. Only off-leash trained dogs are taken outside of the fenced areas for hiking and running, and only with their owners’ signed approval. Many of these dogs are frequently returning boarders from Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill, Carrol Gardens, Brooklyn Heights, and Park Slope neighborhoods and other parts of New York City, especially from Manhattan.
